Ray of Pride Print
**50% of net profits earned from this print will go to The Rainbow Refuge (formerly Carbondale C.A.R.E.) to support trans and LGBTQ+ people feeling hostile environments in other states.**
"Ray of Pride" was the second piece that I created for my very first series of watercolor paintings, Sea Life Splash, and was one of the first ten watercolor paintings that I ever completed. To make this painting, I combined pink, blue, and purple watercolor to create the ray's shape and let the color blend on the paper. This piece was created in a trans pride color palette and the ray formed in watercolor represents the fluidity of gender throughout the human experience. This painting was featured in the Celebrate Regional Artists Exhibition in the Spring of 2023 at Southeastern Illinois College's Hise Museum of Regional Art. It was then auctioned off to support Carbondale C.A.R.E.S. in Carbondale, IL in the Summer of 2023. 50% of profits earned from this print will go to Carbondale C.A.R.E.S to support trans and LGBTQ+ people feeling hostile environments in other states. I hope you enjoy this manta ray wall art print.
This piece is part of my Sea Life Splash open print series. In this collection of watercolor paintings, I created sea creature silhouettes by letting colors blend on the paper and evoked fluidity with random splashes. View all available originals, prints, and more in my shop.
