Stoneface

"Stoneface" was painted in 2023 during the first year of my watercolor journey. My husband and I visited the Old Stoneface trail in while working through the Shawnee Challenge hiking list and fell in love! This amazing rock formation resembles an old hag face and overlooks a beautiful valley. It's one of my favorite hidden gems here in the Shawnee National Forest in Southern IL.
